Types of Bans & What They Do

Explains the whole ban/shadow ban system for Call of Dookie

How do I check the status of my ban?

To check the status of your ban go to Activision Appeal a Ban website and sign in with your Activision account!

Regular Shadow Bans

  • Normal shadow bans typically come from player reports & being reported a ton.

  • Normally end after 7 days if it's your first offense. If you've been shadowed more than once the time increases longer each time.

Campaign Shadow Bans

  • Campaign shadow bans typically come for multiple reasons like reports & sus playstyle, triggering the AI anti-cheat by raging or playing very suspicious, it could also come from tool detections if you're using a unsafe cheat.

  • These normally start off as a normal shadow ban and switch to campaign after a few hours of logging off the account. If your normal shadow-ban doesn't turn to a campaign after 24 hours then you are most likely safe from this.

  • These are normally manual reviews and do not end for a long time. Most of the time they do end up turning to permanent bans but in some occasions they can end with no punishments.

Permanent Bans

  • Permanent bans can occur for multiple different reasons like detected tools (unlock tools, crappy externals, etc...), the AI decides you we're cheating during a manual review (campaign shadow bans), sometimes even innocent players, and many more reasons!

  • These can be appealed but will most likely not be overturned.
